The objective: make Cover Girl relevant to a new generation of consumers and motivate them to buy now. The solution: an unprecedented multi-tiered sampling campaign that included direct mail, magazine inserts, interactive displays, and makeovers at point-of-sale.  Redone today, this campaign would be re-imagined for web and social.
